The mucous membrane is also known as mucosa. It is a membrane that is essential in creating lining in various cavities of the human body as well as for the lining of the surfaces of the internal organs of the body. The mucous membrane is composed of two or more layers overlying on another layer (Taurone, 2019). The underlying layer is generally loose connective tissue and that’s why the layer formation is feasible. Normally the color of the mucous membrane is a healthy pink. The mucous is made of ectodermal tissues. There are different
